In the spring of 2007, while finishing my final semester of graduate school at the University of Iowa, I was in a drawing class working on my signature drawing — a series of connected geometric shapes that I first created in middle or high school that I would draw to occupy my time. It was while working on that drawing that I came up with a concept for a social art project. But in true procrastinator form, I didn't jump on the idea and it marinated in my brain for nearly 10 years. In the fall of 2016, the artist "itch" became unbearable and I finally put pen to paper and started. And it's been slowly progressing ever since. It's not ready to launch yet, but soon it will. This project is a piece of my soul and I can't wait to share it with the world. Below is a sneak peek.
